Virtually everyone in the music industry knows about the rivalry between Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks. It remains one of the biggest feuds in rock history. According to reports, Nicks asked for Buckingham to be dismissed from Fleetwood Mac in 2018 after she gave Fleetwood an ultimatum. It was a difficult period for him, especially as he felt betrayed by Mick Fleetwood and Nicks.
Despite their past differences, Fleetwood and Buckingham are back in the studio together. While details remain under wraps, fans are excited to see them together. Whether their reunion is for a new project or just a catch-up between old friends, it is a welcome development.

Swedish producer Carl Falk, who is working on Mick Fleetwood’s solo album, shared that Lindsey Buckingham recently visited the studio. Falk posted a photo on Threads, calling it a “slightly unreal moment” to sit with Fleetwood and Buckingham. He said Buckingham was truly happy for Fleetwood and even offered to play guitar and sing on the album.
Falk didn’t give details about Buckingham’s role, but on March 16, he shared another photo of Buckingham holding a guitar, calling him a “flawless guitar player.” This is their first time working together in the studio since Lindsey Buckingham and Christine McVie, which included all Fleetwood Mac members except Stevie Nicks.
Mick Fleetwood hoped Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham would reconcile
Buckingham and Fleetwood have always had a good relationship. Fleetwood admired Buckingham’s musical skills, and despite the band’s struggles, they worked well together for years. However, after Buckingham was fired in 2018, their relationship changed. Fleetwood initially sided with the band, but over time, he showed regret, later saying, “Lindsey’s contributions are too significant to just brush aside.” He even hoped that Nicks and Buckingham would reconcile. Now, with their recent reunion in the studio, it seems like they’ve moved past old issues.
We don’t know how Stevie Nicks feels about this reunion or what Fleetwood and Buckingham are planning for fans. But one thing is certain: everyone’s watching to see what happens next. Fingers crossed!
