Merrill Osmond is not new to grief. The musician lost his son, Troy Osmond, in 2018, and more recently, his brother, Wayne Osmond, passed away. People handle and express grief differently, but Merrill Osmond’s fans are getting concerned about him.
This is due to his sudden change in social media behavior and his recent posts and videos. More importantly, the cryptic messages in his posts have left people wondering if there’s more to them or if it’s just his usual way of expressing himself.
Merrill Osmond revealed that his family thinks of him as a “wacko”
Merrill, who has over 133,000 followers on Facebook, usually shares uplifting Friday messages. However, last Thursday, he posted something unexpected. He spoke about making “difficult decisions” and hinted that loved ones might cut ties as a result.
“There are times when you are up against the wall and must make difficult decisions. Even if the people you love will never fully understand you or never speak to you again,” he wrote. He didn’t clarify whether he was referring to his own family, but the message left many wondering if he was experiencing personal struggles with his family. The next day, Merrill shared his usual Friday video, but this time, he spoke about spiritual gifts and the ability to see beyond the physical world. He mentioned that sometimes even his family thinks he’s wacko, but he is a visionary. Merrill went on to claim that he has seen his late son, Troy, in heaven and knows what his parents are doing.
Merrill Osmond’s recent posts now feature faith, visions, and spirituality
Merrill didn’t stop there. He also quoted the Book of Joel and referenced a passage about old men dreaming dreams and young men seeing visions. He reassured his followers that spiritual gifts are real and that they should always be grateful, even if they don’t express any particular gifts. Before experiencing these personal losses, Merrill Osmond was best known as the lead singer of The Osmond’s. Over the years, he continued making music, performing, and connecting with fans, but he was open about his faith as a Mormon.
However, in recent years, his focus has shifted. Instead of entertainment, his posts now center on faith, visions, and spiritual reflection. While some fans appreciate this change, others can’t help but notice how different his messages feel compared to the performer they once knew.
