Ozzy Osbourne is not stopping at his final Black Sabbath show, the musician is also working on a documentary set to be released by Paramount+. The documentary, Ozzy Osbourne: No Escape From Now, is a new feature-length film that will provide an intimate look into the legendary rocker’s life. It will shed light on the personal and professional challenges he has faced since his fall in 2019 and his ongoing battle with Parkinson’s disease.
Directed by BAFTA winner Tania Alexander, the documentary will feature Ozzy’s family and close collaborators, including Black Sabbath’s Tony Iommi, Guns N’ Roses’ Duff McKagan, and Metallica’s Robert Trujillo. It will also contain exclusive behind-the-scenes footage, showcasing how music remains an important part of Ozzy’s life despite his declining health.

Ozzy and his family are no strangers to the spotlight. Their MTV reality series, The Osbournes (2002), redefined celebrity television and paved the way for future reality TV hits like The Simple Life and Keeping Up With the Kardashians. Decades later, Ozzy is once again inviting the public into his world, but this time it is to offer an unfiltered look at his health struggles and resilience.
Interestingly, the documentary began filming in early 2022 during the making of his 13th studio album, Patient Number 9. It will continue capturing his journey through summer 2025 as he prepares for his final live performance with Black Sabbath at Villa Park in Birmingham on July 5. Calling it a “proper goodbye” to his fans, Ozzy remains committed to performing, despite revealing earlier this year that he can no longer walk due to complications from Parkinson’s.
Sharon Osbourne says the documentary is an honest account of Ozzy’s life
Sharon Osbourne described No Escape From Now as an “honest account” of Ozzy’s reality, highlighting his courage in facing multiple health setbacks. “We have worked with a production team we trust and have allowed them the freedom to tell the story openly,” she said.
Produced by Echo Velvet in partnership with the Osbournes and MTV Entertainment Studios, the documentary is executive-produced by Sharon Osbourne, Bruce Gillmer, Amanda Culkowski, and Phil Alexander. It is expected to premiere on Paramount+ later in 2025.
