‘Wheel Of Fortune’ Fans Call For Vanna White To Be Replaced As Co-Host

For over four decades, Vanna White has maintained a cultlike presence on the classic game show Wheel of Fortune, elegantly skating across the famous puzzle board with her smile as brilliant as the flashing lights of the show while performing her duties as co-host and letter-turner extraordinaire.

However, as the show enters a new era with Ryan Seacrest taking over as host following Pat Sajak’s retirement, a surprising debate has emerged among fans. Questions about the future of the 68-year-old have now filled the internet, sparking intense discussions about whether Vanna White should be replaced altogether or her role should be designed in another form.

‘Wheel of Fortune’ fans debate on whether Vanna White should be replaced

The debate about Vanna White being replaced recently gathered momentum when a Reddit user initiated a “Wheel of Fortune Hot Takes” thread where he invited fans to share their honest opinions about the show. The thread quickly became a heated forum, with White being the major subject of discussion. Some users argued that it might be time for White to retire with one commenter expressed that they expected her to leave the show alongside Pat Sajak, while others proposed that she could explore new opportunities, such as hosting a talk show or making guest appearances on other game shows like Hollywood Squares.

However, not all fans are supporting the public outcry for White to be replaced. some fans passionately defended her, emphasizing that she remains an integral part of Wheel of Fortune’s identity. Others could not help but praise her, saying that she has maintained her shape over the years and also continued to make meaningful contributions to the show. For these fans, the thought of White being replaced is quite unnecessary and nothing but a disrespect to her legacy.

Vanna White had previously voiced her doubts about her future on ‘Wheel of Fortune’

This recent discussion is not the first time White’s future on the iconic game show has come under the public eye. In July 2023, the mom of two was involved in a highly publicized salary dispute with the show’s executives after she demanded a significant pay raise which is commensurate to her contributions and legacy, especially in light of Sajak’s retirement. The series of negotiations that followed and the network’s initial unwillingness to satisfy her requests, fueled the conjecture about White being replaced.

In several past interviews, White has also directly voiced doubt about her future on the program. She previously revealed that she contemplated leaving Wheel of Fortune as well when Sajak announced his retirement. She shared her apprehension about working with a new host, particularly Ryan Seacrest, who took over in the 2024-2025 season. White admitted to feeling vulnerable about stepping into uncharted territory after decades of working alongside Sajak.
