“Gods of Rock N Roll” has yet to drop officially, but it’s already gaining traction because the original version appeared on Billy Morrison’s God Shaped Hole in 2015. The orchestral version, which features guitar from Steve Stevens, first premiered on SiriusXM’s Ozzy’s Boneyard channel. It got picked up by radio stations, making it climb to No. 26 on the Mainstream Rock Airplay chart.
The track will be part of Morrison’s The Morrison Project, which will debut on Valentine’s Day, February 14. The deluxe edition also includes the track and will be available on vinyl starting March 7. With its early chart success, fans eagerly await the full song’s release.
Ozzy Osbourne retiring with final show with Black Sabbath
After over five decades of music and performances, Osbourne and the Black Sabbath band will do their final show on July 5th at Villa Park in Birmingham, England. The event will mark the end of an era for the band that helped define heavy metal.
Since their formation in 1968, Black Sabbath has broken up and reunited at several points, and in Osbourne’s case, he got kicked out due to drug and alcohol addiction. It will be refreshing to see Ozzy on stage again since he quit touring to focus on his health. His wife, Sharon Osbourne, says the July show will be his final stop.
