Lorraine Bracco is most popular for playing Dr. Jennifer Melfi in the long-running mob drama The Sopranos. On Thursday, she made a rare public appearance at a New York City charity event, the American Heart Association’s Red Dress Collection Concert at Jazz, Lincoln Center.
Bracco wore her hair in its natural silver color, which complimented her long red dress perfectly. Before becoming a screen star, she was a top fashion model in the same city, however her show business career skyrocketed when she joined the cast of The Sopranos.

Bracco’s career spans several decades, with her breakthrough role being Karen Hill in 1990’s Goodfellas, where she starred opposite Ray Liotta, Robert De Niro, and Joe Pesci. Bracco later became a household name for her The Sopranos, which earned her multiple Emmy and Golden Globe nominations.
Bracco’s other film credits include Medicine Man, starring Sean Connery and The Basketball Diaries with Leonardo DiCaprio. She has also lent her voice to characters in The Simpsons and Family Guy.
