Robert F. Kennedy Jr. was recently nominated for health secretary to the newly inaugurated U.S. President Donald Trump. RFK Jr.’s potential appointment was met with mixed reactions ranging from support to outright disdain, particularly from his cousin Caroline Kennedy, who made shocking claims about his vices in a letter.
Caroline issued a statement to the US Senate urging them to reject RFK Jr.’s confirmation, noting that he has vices and ideologies to be wary of. It is worthy of note that Caroline is the daughter of the late president John F. Kennedy and a former ambassador of the country to Australia and Japan.
What did Caroline Kennedy say about RFK Jr. before his confirmation hearing?
Caroline raised this alarm just in time for RFK Jr.’s confirmation hearing scheduled for January 29, 2025. She is not the only member of the political Kennedy family to call RFK Jr. out, as he faced backlash from even his siblings after his comments on the COVID-19 vaccines.
His sister, Kerry Kennedy, who is a human rights activist, criticized him for spreading misinformation, and their brother, Joseph P. Kennedy II, could not agree more. Kathleen Kennedy Townsend, Rory Kennedy, and his niece Maeve Kennedy McKean also pushed back against RFK Jr.’s anti-vaxxer stance.
Caroline held no details back as she exposed Robert for being a drug addict who would use his basement, his garage, and his dormitory as a hub for drug use when they were younger. She described the horrors she witnessed as a perverse scene of despair and violence as RFK Jr. would blend baby chickens and mice as feed for hawks.

She claims RFK Jr. is dishonest
Although Robert has previously admitted to using heroin and flying with it in the early ‘80s, Caroline brought it up again, noting that her cousin is unfit to lead in any capacity, especially a sensitive one like the health sector. She claims Robert is dishonest and has lied and cheated his way through life at the expense of vulnerable people and countries.
Caroline accused her cousin of misleading parents into vaccinating their children while he secretly had his kids get their shots. The 67-year-old explained that RFK Jr. is trying to enrich himself by denying access to preventive healthcare, such as cervical cancer prevention, that has been proven safe for kids until his conspiracies started to replace facts in the media.
Caroline Kennedy says RFK Jr. made a fortune from his deceptions
She exposed how RFK Jr. made up to $850,000 from an involvement with pharmaceutical company Merck, which is responsible for the human papillomavirus vaccine against cervical cancer. Despite the huge payout, Robert still has plans to profit from a lawsuit against the organization.
She added that her late father and his brother, Robert’s dad, Robert F. Kennedy would be disgusted if they could witness what Robert is doing to the US healthcare sector, as they protected it in their lifetime. In addition to his greed-induced activities, Caroline is infuriated by how RFK tampered with ex-president JFK’s image and that of his father while running for president. When his ambition failed, Robert reportedly scrambled to Trump for a job while also leveraging on the 1963 assassination.
Caroline sounded a stern note of warning that someone like RFK Jr., who is willing to exploit his family’s tragedies and that of others, should not be in charge of America’s well-being as he clearly lacks empathy. Despite Caroline’s expose, RFK Jr. will still appear before the Senate Committee on Finance, which will determine his advancement. He will also testify before the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions, which his uncle Teddy once chaired, on Thursday.
Though RFK is Republican, they have questioned his past statements supporting abortion rights; however, he explained that he is willing to defer such affairs to the states like Trump proposed. American citizens have shared their thoughts on the Kennedy siblings’ feud, with some defending RFK Jr. and calling Caroline a creepy lying woman, though many claimed she was being truthful.
