Meet Carrie Underwood’s husband, Mike Fisher
Carrie Underwood is married to Mike Fisher, a Canada-based professional hockey player. They first fell in love in 2008 while backstage at one of Underwood’s performances. Even though they lived far apart, they began dating and managed to maintain their long-distance romance. He asked Underwood to marry him on December 20, 2009, and walked her down the aisle in front of friends and family on July 10, 2010, at the Ritz-Carlton resort in Georgia.
Since then, they have remained devoted to one another, helping one another through the success and challenges of their individual professions. The love between the couple has only grown stronger, as they are now proud parents to two lovely kids. They welcomed Isaiah Michael Fisher, their first child on February 27, 2015, and four years later had a second son, Jacob Bryan.
What is Mike Fisher up to now?
Fisher had an incredible hockey career. His intense fascination with the sport from an early age earned him a spot at the Peterborough Minor Hockey Association when the Sudbury Wolves were drawn to his remarkable abilities and selected him in the 1997 draft. Thanks to his aggressive style of play, the 44-year-old quickly became a highly recognized player in the National Hockey League, first with the Ottawa Senators and later as captain of the Nashville Predators. However, after a prosperous career filled with many accomplishments, he finally declared his retirement from professional hockey in 2017.
Following his decision to step off the rink, Fisher has devoted his attention to his family and charitable activities, working closely with Danita’s Children, an organization that supports children in Haiti. Also, he is pursuing his artistic side and starting a music career, just like his wife.
