John Denver, one of the greatest musicians of all time, met his first wife, Annie Martell, in 1966 at a Minnesota concert, and they married soon afterward. Their love life was so sensational that he wrote the ageless ballad “Annie’s Song” for her in just ten minutes while riding a ski lift in Colorado.
The couple had difficulty having a child of their own, so they adopted Zachary John and Anna Kate, with the former being the oldest. Denver, however, remarried Australian actress Casandra Delaney six years after his divorce from Annie in 1993, and their union produced a beautiful daughter, Jesse Belle. Denver died tragically in 1997 when his small home-built aircraft crashed into Monterey Bay.

Zachary John
Zachary was reportedly born on May 23rd, 1974, in Colorado and was adopted by the ex-lovers’ John Denver and Annie. He is the oldest of all Denver’s children. Zachary, who is of African-American descent, lived most of his childhood life in Aspen, Colorado.

Towing a career path different from his father, Zachary took up an interest in politics and currently works as a social worker. The 48-year-old is married to his wife, Jennifer, and their union is blessed with a son. The family lives happily in their home in Basalt, Colorado.
Anna Kate
Anna is the second adopted child of John Denver and Annie Martell’s marriage. The 46-year-old is the only one who has not made any media appearances since the unfortunate death of their father.
She is married to a private equity investor and investment banker, Jaime Hutter. The couple used to live in the US until they decided to base in Wanaka, New Zealand. They live a quiet life with their beautiful daughter, born on December 21, 2011.
Jesse Belle
Jesse is the only biological child of John Denver, she was born in 1989 while he was married to his second wife, Casandra Delaney. She presently works as a professional artist and jeweler who seldom appears in the media.
The 33-year-old is married to Eli LeGate, although there is little or no information about how they met except that they had their wedding on September 27, 2019.
Denver’s children plan to immortalize him
The legendary John Denver loved his children both when he was alive and after he was dead, as he left them $7 million worth of trust fund. To immortalize their father, the Denver siblings have teamed up with estate manager Brian Schwartz to keep his legacy alive.
Schwartz revealed to Closer that he hopes to put together a feature film about John’s life, a documentary about his activism, and a Broadway musical based on his songbook. “John left behind a legacy, not only of music but of his environmental and social activism,” Schwartz stated. “The biggest thing we are doing is making sure that his message continues to reach new audiences.”
