Priscilla Presley shares secrets about Elvis

It has been 45 years since the King of Rock ‘n Roll, Elvis Presley passed away. Many are discussing his life in depth once again after the release of the biopic simply titled Elvis. The movie focuses a lot on his relationship with his manager Colonel Tom Parker.

Elvis’ ex-wife Priscilla Presley is opening up about the hardest part of watching the film. She revealed, “He [Parker] didn’t take Elvis where he wanted to be. And that was hard, because I lived it. I lived the arguments they had. I lived Elvis trying to explain that he didn’t want to do all the movies with all the girls, on the beaches. Living that with him, and watching the movie, brought back a lot of memories.”

Priscilla shared that Elvis wanted to try to do more serious films. While Tom is often the villain in the story about Elvis’ life, Priscilla said that they have made their peace. She explained, “There was the Colonel who was the manager, and there was the Colonel who was very sweet. There was the business side to him, and the very gentle side to him when he wasn’t working. He had to live out what Elvis wanted him to do, which was make him a million dollars. He wanted to live up to what he promised Elvis.”
