Three comedy greats are together again. It has been a rough 2022 so far with the deaths of Bob Saget, Louie Anderson, and now Gilbert Gottfried. Months before his own death, Gilbert took the time to honor two of his friends and fellow comedians.
Gilbert had shared a photo of himself alongside Bob and Louie and shared his grief on social media. On Jan. 21, he shared a photo of the trio and wrote, “This photo is very sad now. RIP Bob Saget and RIP Louie Anderson. Both good friends that will be missed.”

Gilbert passed away on April 12. His family confirmed the news with a statement that read, “We are heartbroken to announce the passing of our beloved Gilbert Gottfried after a long illness. In addition to being the most iconic voice in comedy, Gilbert was a wonderful husband, brother, friend and father to his two young children.”
The statement concluded, “Although today is a sad day for all of us, please keep laughing as loud as possible in Gilbert’s honor.” Gilbert passed away from recurrent ventricular tachycardia. All three funny men will be missed. Sending our condolences to all of their family and friends during this time.
