Get A Sneak Peek Of Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville Resort Opening In 2020

A new Jimmy Buffett-themed resort is coming in 2020! It will be located in Lake Conroe, near Houston, Texas. The resort used to be called La Torretta Lake Resort & Spa, but it went out of business. Now, it will be home to a Margaritaville Resort.

The resort is on 186 acres of waterfront property. The resort will have 360 guestrooms, a golf course, and a spa. There will be the main hotel tower with 20 stories, and waterfront villas as well. In addition to the golf course, the resort will feature a three-acre waterpark. The waterpark will include a lazy river and many outdoor pools.

There will also be pickleball and tennis courts for those who want to play on vacation. The two restaurants will be called LandShark Bar & Grill and 5 o’Clock Somewhere Bar & Grill. The resort is expected to open sometime during summer 2020. It seems the golf course is already open!

Benchmark is the company behind the resort opening. The CEO, Alex Cabañas said, “Benchmark is very excited to be part of this groundbreaking project that will bring the iconic Margaritaville brand to the Houston market, and to our neighbors throughout the Lone Star State, and beyond.”
