The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame has been honoring musician after musician since 1983 for making some of the most memorable contributions to the genre. According to sources, in order to be eligible to get into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, the musician must be at least 25 years apart from their debut album. With this being said, there are tons of artists out there who have yet to be included in the collection of Hall of Famers. You'll definitely recognize these artists and might even ask yourself why they're not in the hall of fame quite yet. Here are 10 award-winning musicians who aren't in The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. 1. Pat Benatar Genius Pat Benatar is a four-time Grammy-Award winning artist with 10 platinum albums but still somehow doesn't have a spot in The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. 2. The B-52s Facebook Best-known for their hit song "Love Shack", it earned two awards in the year 1990, but the group still has yet to be in The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. You can't not love that song! 3. Iron Maiden Spirit of Metal Iron Maiden has earned a number of awards, including a Grammy, several Kerrang! awards, and more, but still don't have a spot in The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Motorhead Ghost Cult Mag Motorhead is another one of the best heavy metal bands out there who undeniably deserve a spot in The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, especially after winning a Grammy Award for Best Metal Performance in 2005. 5. The Monkees AP Photo Another group you'd be surprised to not see in The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame include The Monkees, who are still going strong with a brand new Christmas album they just released late last year. Despite the awards that this group has won, the group was created for a television show which apparently results in rejection by the selection committee. 6. The Go-Go's YouTube The Go-Go's topped the Billboard charts with hits like "We Got The Beat" and "Our Lips Are Sealed". They might have earned a star on the Walk of Fame, but they still have yet to make it to The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. 7. Jan and Dean Goldmine Magazine You might have heard a song on the radio and thought it was The Beach Boys, but it was actually a group of two men called Jan and Dean. The duo did work with Brian Wilson on the hit "Surf City," but it still wasn't enough to earn a spot in The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame just yet.
