In October 2023, Hulu renewed the show for a fourth season, which promises to shake things up for the group as the murders penetrate outside of the building. In that time, the respective actors, who represent different generations and areas of talent, have formed an unlikely and unyielding bond. So much so that Gomez has taken multiple opportunities to offer them high praise. Short, Gomez, and Martin went from colleagues to friends / AdMedia "I want to thank @stevemartinreally and Marty (who hates social media) for truly being the most kind, gentle, warm and powerful influences in my life," she said in another tribute post. "You have shown me a level of class, intellect and humor that doesn’t seem to be easy to find anymore. You guys are truly best friends to me forever." They all hit it off remarkably well, considering, according to Short, "The first day we shot, I had never met Selena. Because of COVID, we'd only Zoomed. And I was driving to work and I thought, I wonder what Selena's could be like? I mean, she could be a nightmare. She could be a pop princess nightmare." In the end, the experience was one Short called "fabulous."
