Heather Thomas is revisiting a chapter of her life that she closed long ago. On a Monday episode of the Still Here Hollywood Podcast, the actress opened up about what forced her to leave Hollywood just at the peak of her acting career. After starring as Jody Banks, a stunt performer, in the movie The Fall Guy, she began to face several life-threatening harassments.
The movie aired from 1981 to 1986, after which Thomas continued taking roles in other films such as Zapped, Red Blooded American Girl, and Against The Law. However, she noted that what followed this period were different stalkers coming after her.
Why Heather Thomas left Hollywood behind

Life after The Fall Guy for Heather Thomas took an unexpected turn. She recalled being in scary situations, including having stalkers in her house. Thomas shared that she had two stalkers every week and even received threats through the mail, including a box of bullets and funeral wreaths “they stole from a graveyard.”
Thomas also recounted a time when a man jumped over her gate with a buck knife. Meanwhile, living with her children made the situation even more terrifying for her, especially when someone broke into their bedroom to attack her. Thankfully, she had some rock salt in her firearm, which she shot at him. Heather Thomas shared that she had a bodyguard in her home even though her children were unaware of what was happening to her. She also did not open up to the media because she did not want to be labeled as “the lady that was stalked.”
