Adrienne Barbeau looked gorgeous for a 79-year-old during her recent outing in Los Angeles, during which she wore a pair of blue jean pants, a patterned cream-colored sweater, and red cowboy boots. She had a yellow tote on her shoulder and left her short hair in a blowout that flattered the frame of her face.
It has been six decades since she made her Broadway debut on the chorus of “Fiddler On The Roof,” after which she led her next off-Broadway musical, Stag Movie. She famously played Rizzo in Grease, which earned her a Tony nod in 1972.

Another highlight of Barbeau’s Hollywood career was playing Carol Traynor in the Maude comedy series, which also starred Bea Arthur as her TV mom. She admitted to learning a lot about comedy from Bea during that time, adding that it was her first time doing television.
Although Barbeau’s appearance in movies has slowed down in recent years, she remains active in the entertainment space, and she shows up at industry events like the Hollyshorts Film Festival earlier this year. She appeared in Hustlers Take All, which was released in July.
Is Adrienne Barbeau retiring soon?
Barbeau, who shows no signs of slowing down soon, has explored other endeavors outside of acting over the course of her career. She released her self-titled debut album as a folk singer in the late ‘90s, after which she worked as a talk show host and book reviewer for a Los Angeles radio station.
Barbeau has authored several books, including her 2006 memoir There Are Worse Things I Could Do and the novels Vampyres of Hollywood—which she co-wrote with Michael Scott—Love Bites and its 2015 sequel, Make Me Dead. Baebeau is a mother of three from both her ex-husbands, John Carpenter and producer Billy Van Zandt.
