Ted Danson and Woody Harrelson hosted actor Sim Liu on their podcast, Where Everybody Knows Your Name, to discuss Woody and Liu’s upcoming movie, Last Breath. The survival thriller film about deep-sea divers had Ted curious about their preparations as he grilled them on what filming was like.
Liu recalled the training they had to undergo, the safety drills, and their time on set in general, and then Ted gave reasons for his questions about their experience. He made a hilarious revelation about his time on set with Woody, and the studio was shook with laughter.
What did Ted Danson say about working with Woody Harrelson?
Ted recounted how Woody would let out stinky vegan farts on the huge sound stage, which would end up shutting down filming for that day. The podcast hosts and their guests shook with laughter as Liu acknowledged the hilarious perk of working with Woody.
Ted and Woody first met on the set of Cheers in the ‘80s, and although they did not get along at first, the duo found friendship beyond the set despite their 13-year age gap. They both launched their podcast in June, naming it after the Cheers theme song by Gary Portnoy and Judy Hart Angelo.

Woody and Liu’s upcoming movie is based on a true story about a deep-sea diver, Chris Lemons, who risks his life to rescue his friend, who is stuck hundreds of feet underwater. The 2025 release follows the 2019 British documentary of the same name, with one of the directors working on the movie remake this time.
