Hair expert and stylist Brad Mondo shared his latest tip for women who intend to look more youthful, advising them to ditch a popular hairstyle for something simpler. He clarified that the ladies are free to do whatever they please with their locs, but also spoke candidly about what hairdos need to go.
Brad spoke in favor of relaxed, loose waves over tight and trendy ones, which make most women look older. Although it may not seem like much, hairstyles can be used to create perceptions, and in Brad’s words, the more refined the waves, the better one’s shot at looking ageless.

He also urged them to go for slight crimps over “super tight waves” which might end up looking tacky.

It is much easier for ladies with straight hair to manipulate styles. However, those with natural curls are required to ease into the styling with a brush or their fingertips. Hairspray is also to be kept at a minimum, with more attention on breaking up the strands.

Brad noted that tight curls have been out of style in the last decade, hence women should think outside the box and go easy on the waves. According to London-based stylist Ky Wilson, ladies can opt for a baroque bob with volume that sits just above the collarbone. She explained that it gives a subtle sense of Old Hollywood glamor with a minimalist touch.
Layers are also in these days, with a natural look that adds a frame to the face, depending on the parting. To achieve loose, effortless crimps, Chicago hairstylist Alex Brown advised ladies to go for heatless styling, which involves braiding the hair in sections overnight and touching it up with salt spray in the morning.
