Fans React As Cher Switches Up Hairstyle With Drastic Blonde For 78th Birthday

After foretelling her 78th birthday to be a boring day in bed, Cher was spotted on her private plane as she walked in on a surprise celebration organized by friends. The pop goddess was delightfully caught unaware and expressed her gratitude as she smiled at the party set up.

Cher made her cake, which read, “I’m CHER b**ch*and blew out multiple candles before turning to scan the room for more of her buddies. She kept it casual with a pair of light blue jeans, a pink top, and a matching scarf. However, her hair was in contrast to the straight, dark locks she always rocks. Cher switched up her hair color and style to a blonde, loose, curly bob for her anniversary.

Not all were impressed by Cher’s appearance as some people pointed out her unsteady walk as she stepped into the aircraft. “Old lady trying to retain her youth,” a troll wrote. “Wish she’d go back to her black hair. Does not look good as a blonde,” another added. Thankfully, the kind comments drowned out the criticism, and Paulette also received some praise for being a good friend to Cher and “for sharing this magical moment with us.”

Cher’s thoughts about turning 78

It is no news that Cher dreads aging, even if she appears to carry it well. The iconic singer planned to “head under a pillow and scream” on May 20, but her buddies had other plans. She has previously admitted that she would “do anything to be 70 again” and “can’t believe I will be 80 at some point, sooner than I wish.” She promised to keep wearing jeans, and she is never letting her gray strands grow out, regardless of the bashing she receives for it.

True to her words, Cher appeared to her little party in a pair of jeans that had one or two fans asking where she purchased them. The mother of two is in a controversial relationship with Alexander “AE” Edwards, who is four decades younger and a father of one himself. Cher has faced backlash for the age gap between them, nonetheless, she believes age is just a number and all the men her age her either dead, or “terrified” to approach her.
