Stephen Hawking was far more than than a great physicist. He was a friendly, happy, playful friend to anyone who had the pleasure to meet him. He inspired so many, in ways far beyond his profound vision of the universe. I would say his humanity was a far greater contribution.

RIP Stephen Hawking. The world just dropped a lot of IQ points. And, he was a fun person. Very sad news.

Stephen Hawking came to Caltech periodically for work & usually gave a public talk where people queued up all day to see him. A few visual memories of a 2013 appearance with Kip Thorne. pic.twitter.com/KLGuKg2nZf

“My goal is simple. It is a complete understanding of the universe, why it is as it is and why it exists at all”
– Stephen Hawking

Few have accomplished as much towards that goal as Hawking. A true testament to the capacity and resilience of the human mind. He won’t be forgotten pic.twitter.com/eyGRUvTwBE

Sad to hear of the passing of Stephen Hawking, a genius always trying to push our understating of the universe. #rip

Stephen Hawking said "We have but one life to appreciate this grand design of the Universe". "Grand Design" implies a "Grand Designer".

Stephen Hawking once said, "I'm not afraid of death, but I'm in no hurry to die. I have so much I want to do first." RIP Professor Hawking, and may we all strive to live as fully as he did.

In S06E26 of Star Trek: The Next Generation, Data sits down on the holodeck to play poker with Earth’s greatest minds: Stephen Hawking, Albert Einstein, and Isaac Newton. Hawking is the only actor in the history of Trek to play himself. pic.twitter.com/ToVSkHwkXi
