His passing has left an intellectual vacuum in his wake. But it's not empty. Think of it as a kind of vacuum energy permeating the fabric of spacetime that defies measure. Stephen Hawking, RIP 1942-2018. pic.twitter.com/nAanMySqkt

It’s only been a few hours and Stephen Hawking already mathematically proved, to My face, that I don’t exist.

Just remember, Stephen Hawking was given two years to live in 1963.. Just powered on through like a bloody champion. Rest in Peace.

Stephen Hawking inspired me before ALS – to keep asking questions, seeking answers, and understanding the cosmic perspective. But since ALS, he saved my life with his example – people diagnosed with ALS can continue to live productive & purposeful lives for decades.

Stephen Hawking was a profound influence growing up. He made sense of the incomprehensible: the universe, its origins and our place within it. As a kid, I wanted to be an astrophysicist because of him. I can only hope to live up to his example. RIP.

— Brandon Calvillo (@BJCalvillo) March 14, 2018
Stephen Hawking took obstacles and made them advantages, took questions of our place in the universe and made them questions of whether we had earned it, took the stars we had always gazed at with wonder and made them mirrors that forced us to gaze into ourselves. Rest in peace.

There goes one of the greatest minds of our time…so gutted…RIP Stephen Hawking. Thank you for all your tremendous contributions to our understanding of the universe. Your genius & your relentless optimism will be sorely missed to say the least. You made me proud to be human.

Stephen Hawking taught me about the universe. Such a brilliant mind that can never be duplicated. He is for certain up in the stars now, marveling over our beautiful galaxy. Thanks for all that you did for us mr hawking, we will truly never forget you.

Reading through Stephen Hawking's contributions to science while tearing up. He was a paradox: A limitless mind in a limited body — travelling the vastness of the universe in a broken vessel.
Rest in eternal peace. You will be remembered always. pic.twitter.com/LWXdP9Rrhs
