There are some flavors that just take you right back to being a kid. And, no, we’re not talking about Play-Doh! Our favorite treats just had such magical flavors to us. They really made childhood something special, and delicious!

1. Corn Dogs
These tasty treats takes me right back to the ones we used to get at the county fair way back when.
2. Hostess Cupcakes
Served in the slightly more grown up form of a cake, the taste of chocolate and marshmallow that we remember so fondly from childhood is still there. Mm mmm. Get the recipe right here.
3. Creamsicle Bars
If you loved the popsicle then you’ll have to try this at-home recipe we found. These were always my favorite treat on a hot summers day.
And a Milkshake Version… yes please!
4. Pineapple Fluff
The stuff of many a holiday and pitch-in dinner, variations on the the ambrosia theme were always a welcomes delight. This pineapple fluff is simply heavenly.
5. Rice Krispie Treats
A favorite that you sometimes just get a real hankerin’ for, rice krispy treats are one of the staples of birthday parties and potlucks that we remember fondly. Get the recipe here if you don’t already have your favorite version handy.
6. Buckeyes
Not everyone grew up with buckeyes, but these have a twist- they’re cookie dough buckeyes! These were two of our favorite things growing up! Check it out right here.
7. Pigs in a Blanket
While most of us are familiar with the pigs in a blanket that use canned biscuits or crescent rolls, we all know that many foods just taste better from scratch. I love the cheese addition that the below clip uses!
8. No-bake Cookies
These were a staple of kid cuisine and they’re so delicious! Much better than a regular oatmeal cookie, these stovetop cookies are a kind of magic.
9. Hello Dollies
A yummy layered blend of chocolate and pecans and graham crackers- what not’s to love? This childhood classic is still a winner.
