DuckTales Returns To Our Screens After 30 Years With A New Series!

“DuckTales, Woo-oo!” Anyone who’s ever watched even one episode of DuckTales will at least remember the theme tune. It will be etched into the stone tablets of your memory, never to be removed… But for those of you who are staring blankly right now, let us remind you; DuckTales was an American animated TV series created by Disney. It ran from September 1987 until November 1990, finishing after 4 seasons and 100 episodes. gosocial.co The show followed Scrooge McDuck and his grand-nephews Huey, Dewey, and Louie. The nephews were originally living with their uncle Donald Duck (you may have heard of him), but were left in the care of Scrooge when Donald joined the U.S. Navy. gosocial.co The show normally involved the villains (usually the Beagle Boys and Magica De Spell) trying to get hold of Scrooge’s money, or Scrooge trying to increase his wealth by taking his great-nephews on an adventure to look for some kind of long-lost treasure. The following trailer was released back in March, and showed some of the plot, which sees Scrooge McDuck coming out of retirement… There was also the following amazing video released of the voice-cast singing the theme tune, which thankfully hasn’t changed too much. As you will see, the cast includes David Tennant as the voice of Scrooge, and also features Danny Pudi (Community), Ben Schwartz (Parks and Recreation), and Bobby Moynihan (Saturday Night Live) as Huey, Dewey, and Louie. Kate Micucci (Scrubs) plays Webby Vanderquack, and Beck Bennett (Saturday Night Live) voices Launchpad… The first 2 new episodes (the first of which is brilliantly titled ‘Woo-oo!’) will air in the UK on Disney’s XD channel on the 23rd of September, coinciding with the original’s 30th anniversary.
