10. Peter Manuel
“Turn up the radio and I’ll go quietly.”
Peter Thomas Anthony Manual was convicted of taken the lives of seven people in Lanarkshire Scotland between 1956 to 1958. Many believe he was responsible for two more missing people but there was never enough evidence to prove he was involved in their disappearances. He was nicknamed “The Beast of Birkenshaw” before he was finally caught.
On July 11, 1958, he was taken to the gallows. Harry Allen and William Smith covered his head, strapped his legs and slide the noose around his neck. It only took eight seconds to carry out the deed and only twenty-four seconds passed before Dr. David Anderson certified he was no longer living at 8:35 AM.
11. John Wayne Gacy
“Kiss my ass.”
Known as the “Killer Clown,” he was a rapist who sexually assaulted and took the lives of at least 33 different teenage boys and men between the years of 1972 to 1978. Lethal injection on May 10th, 1994. He was diagnosed as a psychopath who did not express any remorse for the lives he had taken.
He was incarcerated for 14 years before his final day. On May 9, 1994, he was allowed to have a private picnic with his family. His last meal consisted of KFC chicken, a dozen fried shrimp, french fries, fresh strawberries, and a diet Coke. on May 10, 1994 he was confirmed no longer living via lethal injection at 12:58AM and his brain was removed.
