
Lisa Kudrow and Mira Sorvino are officially returning to one of their most beloved comedy roles. Nearly 30 years after Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion became a cult favorite, the two actresses are reuniting for a sequel that has finally moved into production.
According to The Independent, Lisa Kudrow and Mira Sorvino will reprise their roles as Michele Weinberger and Romy White in the long-awaited follow-up. In the original 1997 comedy, two best friends attend their high school reunion hoping to impress former classmates, but they ultimately learn that authenticity matters more than fake success.
The Sequel Brings Back Several Familiar Faces

The new film will not only reunite Kudrow and Sorvino. It will also bring back several original cast members, including Janeane Garofalo, Alan Cumming, Camryn Manheim, and Julia Campbell. Their return gives the sequel a stronger connection to the movie that fans have loved for decades.

The project will also introduce new cast members. Keegan-Michael Key, Rob Huebel, Breckin Meyer, Patrick Warburton, and Nathan Lee Graham have joined the film, though their roles have not yet been revealed. Tim Federle is directing the sequel, while Robin Schiff, who wrote the original movie, returned to write the new script.
