Riley Keough has grown her family once again. The actress and granddaughter of Elvis Presley privately welcomed her second baby earlier this year with her husband, stuntman Ben Smith-Petersen. The joyful news came from Priscilla Presley, who confirmed the couple’s expanding family during a recent interview.
According to photos published by E News, for Keough, who already shares 3-year-old daughter, Tupelo, with Ben, becoming a mother has been a deeply meaningful chapter. She has often spoken about her desire to give her children the best possible start in life. Now, with two little ones to raise, family remains her top priority.
Riley Keough’s Children And Her Journey To Motherhood
Keough and Smith-Petersen first became parents in August 2022 when they welcomed Tupelo by surrogate. The decision, Keough has explained, was connected to her ongoing battle with Lyme disease. “I can carry children, but it felt like the best choice for what I had going on physically,” she shared in a 2023 Vanity Fair interview. She also expressed admiration for surrogates, calling their role “a very cool, selfless, and incredible act.”
Riley Keough’s children now include Tupelo and a new sibling whose arrival the family has kept private. While she has chosen not to reveal further details, her grandmother Priscilla noted, “That’s what makes me happy, knowing everyone is doing well.” Keough’s focus, she says, is on creating a stable and loving environment for her young family.
A Look Back At Riley’s Own Youth
While Keough devotes her energy to motherhood today, she has not shied away from admitting her own rebellious teenage years. On a January episode of the Call Her Daddy podcast, she recalled sneaking out, running with the wrong crowd, and even being arrested as a minor. “My mom was pissed,” Keough remembered of Lisa Marie Presley’s reaction at the time.

Those missteps, however, have shaped the way she approaches parenting. Riley Keough’s children may never see their mother as a perfect parent, but she has made clear that raising them right is her most important goal. “This is the thing in my life so far that I have really wanted to, quote-unquote, get right,” she explained.
