Daisy Jones & the Six follows a fictional rock band’s rise and sudden breakup. It’s loosely based on the real-life tension and chemistry of Fleetwood Mac. With sex, drugs, fame, and fiery relationships, the movie shows viewers the chaos behind the music. And now, Nicks wants to imagine what might come after.
Stevie Nicks pitched a new season for Daisy Jones & the Six, and Riley Keough, the show’s star, called it a brilliant idea. Clearly, Stevie Nicks was inspired by a TV show that was partly inspired by her own life.
Riley Keough praises Stevie Nicks’ idea for season 2 of ‘Daisy Jones & the Six’

In October 2024, Fleetwood Mac icon Stevie Nicks shared her own vision for season 2. She imagined a future where Billy comes back to Daisy after Camila’s death and the two record another album. Nicks admitted this idea helped her deal with things she never got closure on in her own music career.
Riley Keough, who played Daisy, responded warmly. Speaking during a 2025 Tribeca Festival panel with Chanel and Tribeca, she said, “Anything Stevie Nicks comes up with is a great idea. She’s amazing. I love her so much.” Keough’s response made it clear she’d support the story continuing.
Riley Keough’s performance earned her Emmy and Golden Globe nominations
Daisy Jones & the Six first aired in March 2023, and it quickly caught viewers’ attention. It was more than just a music drama; it offered viewers a behind-the-scenes look at how passion, fame, and heartbreak can destroy a band. Her outstanding performance as Daisy earned her Emmy and Golden Globe nominations.
Since the show ended, Keough has taken on more roles, including directing and producing. She and her creative partner, Gina Gammell, directed War Pony, which won at Cannes, and are now working on In Process, a documentary series about women and creativity. But to many fans, she’ll always be Daisy.
