Fans of Three’s Company will have the chance to honor the late John Ritter in a unique way. On September 11, Pluto TV is airing a special marathon of the sitcom, marking the 22nd anniversary of Ritter’s passing.
The Three’s Company marathon was created in partnership with The John Ritter Foundation for Aortic Health. It features episodes handpicked by Ritter’s family, friends, and admirers, including Adam Devine, Kaley Cuoco, Jason Alexander, and original cast members Priscilla Barnes and Richard Kline. Each episode serves as a tribute to Ritter’s comedic brilliance and his unforgettable role as Jack Tripper.
Episodes Celebrating Ritter’s Legacy
The marathon begins at 6:00 p.m. ET on Pluto TV’s dedicated Three’s Company channel. Devine chose the episode “Double Trouble,” praising Ritter’s performance as both Jack and his twin. “Only John Ritter can play his own twin,” Devine explained, noting the groundbreaking physical comedy.
According to People, Cuoco, who once starred alongside Ritter on 8 Simple Rules, highlighted “Up in the Air” as her favorite. She called it “the greatest episode of all time” thanks to Ritter’s hilarious performance after Jack mixes tranquilizers with drinks. Ritter’s son, Tyler, chose “Baby It’s Cold Inside,” featuring his father and Don Knotts in a playful freezer scene. Together, these episodes remind viewers of Ritter’s unique comedic timing and heart.

Beyond the Three’s Company marathon, Pluto TV will also release the Live Celebrity Read from The John Ritter Foundation’s Evening from the Heart LA gala. This event raises awareness for aortic health, the condition that led to Ritter’s untimely death in 2003 at just 54 years old.
Ritter collapsed on the set of 8 Simple Rules and later died from an aortic dissection. Since then, his family and foundation have worked tirelessly to raise awareness and support research into the condition. The marathon and live event give fans a chance to laugh with Ritter once more while honoring his life. For many, the Three’s Company marathon is not just nostalgic television—it’s a celebration of an actor whose talent continues to inspire.
