Hulk Hogan’s funeral took place on August 5 in Clearwater, Florida. Friends, family, and wrestling legends gathered to honor the WWE icon, who died of a heart attack at 71. However, his daughter Brooke Hogan was noticeably absent. Now, she is sharing why she made that choice.

According to People, in an emotional Instagram post, Brooke revealed that she needed to grieve privately. “As his daughter, I had to make my own decision to honor him the best and most genuine way I knew how… privately,” she explained. Alongside her message, she posted photos with her husband, Steven Oleksy, and their twins, spending the day at the beach—her father’s favorite place.

For Brooke, the beach offered a stronger connection to her father than the ceremony could. “The only thing missing today was him in his pop-up lawn chair watching the waves,” she said. She placed her babies in the same salty waters Hulk Hogan loved, calling it the “simplest way that agreed with my soul.”

Her tribute reflected both loss and gratitude. “Every grain of sand and every wave reminded me of being your beach baby and brought us closer to you,” she wrote. “I pray you are at peace and know how dearly I love you.” Through this moment, she honored him not as a wrestling star but as the father who cherished life by the ocean.

Questions Surrounding Hulk Hogan’s Death

While grieving, Brooke also voiced concerns about his passing. Appearing on the Bubba the Love Sponge Show, she questioned why no autopsy was performed. “Yes, you can have a heart attack, but what was the reason for the heart attack is the question,” she said.

Her comments reflected years of watching him fight serious health issues, including atrial fibrillation. Despite those struggles, she found comfort in his faith. “He used to speak about this moment with such wonder and hope,” she reflected. “Like meeting God was the greatest championship he’d ever have.” Whether through Hulk Hogan’s funeral or the shoreline he loved, his legacy continues in those who knew him best.
