Hulk Hogan’s legacy took center stage at WWE’s SummerSlam, and his son Nick Hogan stood proudly to honor him. On Aug. 2, the wrestling world celebrated the late icon, who died of a heart attack on July 24 at age 71. Nick, 35, attended the event with his wife, Tana Lea, and struggled to hold back tears as the tribute played.
According to People, WWE announcer Michael Cole called Hogan “larger than life, sports entertainment personified, and the greatest performer in our history.” He praised Hogan’s undefeated SummerSlam streak and his decades of influence on professional wrestling. As Hogan’s theme song “Real American” blasted through the stadium, Nick clapped through tears. He pressed a hand to his chest, made a prayer motion, and stood tall as the crowd roared.

Nick’s appearance followed a week of emotional tributes. Days earlier, he stood center stage during WWE’s Monday Night RAW as another memorial aired. At times, Hulk Hogan’s son wiped away tears. His wife held his arm as the crowd and roster showed their respect.
Hogan’s memory is also being celebrated outside the ring. On Aug. 1, Florida declared the date “Hulk Hogan Day,” a nod to the place he loved most. Nick shared the news on Instagram, writing, “My dad was a true Floridian and loved his home state. He would be so proud of this,” alongside a photo of the official document.

For Nick, these tributes are more than public ceremonies. They are moments to carry his father’s legacy forward. As the only son of Hulk Hogan, he now stands as a symbol of both grief and pride.
