Shaun Cassidy is returning to the spotlight with a big and exciting new music tour. Now 66, the former ‘70s teen idol revealed that he will embark on a journey to fifty cities for his tour, The Road to Us, which will kick off on September 13 at Nashville’s Grand Ole Opry, bringing his music and storytelling to fans across North America.

Cassidy made this announcement on social media, where he shared a photo of himself walking near a vintage drive-in theater, dressed casually in a black shirt and jeans, guitar slung over one shoulder, and roses in hand. Fans quickly responded with excitement, many eager to see the singer, songwriter, and producer return to the stage after years of working behind-the-scenes.

The 66-year-old first rose to fame as a teen idol in the ’70s with singles and TV appearances that made him a household name. But while his early fame was built on pop stardom, Cassidy has carved out another image of himself. Hence, The Road to Us feels like a long-overdue reunion for him and his longtime fans.

Over the past two decades, he has written and produced for television, including serving as an executive producer on the NBC drama New Amsterdam. However, as his career shifted behind the camera, Cassidy never left music entirely behind. He blended songs with personal stories and humor in his concerts, and fans enjoyed the warmth.

Family and passion

Cassidy’s family has always played a central role in his life and identity. Being the son of The Partridge Family’s Shirley Jones and the half-brother of the late David Cassidy, Shaun Cassidy often honors them as his roots in entertainment. Earlier this year, he marked his mother’s 91st birthday with a heartfelt tribute.

As he prepares to return to the stage, Cassidy desires to see fans and viewers across the world filled with joy and love by his music.
