In the late ’70s, the bedroom walls of many teenage girls were covered with posters of Shaun Cassidy. With his boyish smile and feathered hair, he was a pop star, a TV detective, and a heartthrob all rolled into one. But if you saw him today, you might walk right past without a second glance. Shaun Cassidy now looks nothing like the teen idol fans once screamed for.
Recently, the 66-year-old took a rare photo with his niece, actress Katie Cassidy, the same actress who starred in Arrow and Gossip Girl. Fans were surprised to see just how different Shaun looks now. The photo was taken at a wine tasting for a project close to his heart.
Where is Shaun Cassidy now?

Shaun Cassidy now spends much of his time focused on two things: writing for television and making wine. Alongside winemaker Steve Clifton, he co-founded a wine label called My First Crush. The name is a clever reference to his music career, when songs like “Da Doo Ron Ron” made him a favorite of young fans. But the wine is more than just a passion project; it also helps support the No Kid Hungry organization.
After stepping back from acting, Cassidy made a smart move to the writer’s room. Over the years, he has worked on major TV shows like Cold Case, American Gothic, Blue Bloods, and New Amsterdam. Most recently, he served as the showrunner for Unbroken.
Shaun Cassidy has chosen a private life with his family
Another big part of Shaun Cassidy now is family. He’s a father of seven, with children ranging from their 40s to early teens. His first three kids were from earlier marriages, and his younger four are with his current wife, producer Tracey Lynn Turner.
Despite coming from a famous family — his mom is Partridge Family star Shirley Jones, and his late half-brother David Cassidy was also a huge star — Shaun has always chosen a quieter, more private path.
