Fans could not help but notice how much Homer resembles his famous dad as photos from the event made it to social media. His laid-back style and warm demeanor sparked a buzz, and many praised the duo’s bond and how much he looked like a younger version of the actor himself.

Gere, who shares Homer with his ex-wife Carey Lowell, has always been private about his family life. However, during the event, he expressed his gratitude for moments like these, saying he always loves being with Homer. He added that he treasured quality time with him, be it walking in the woods or supporting important causes.

A family moment for a deep cause

While fans marveled at the Gere family, the night’s purpose was just as compelling. The event happened at Cipriani 42nd Street, raising funds for City Harvest, which is a nonprofit dedicated to fighting hunger in New York. As a longtime supporter of the cause, Gere emphasized the importance of giving back during tough times.

The event comes at a crucial moment as millions of New Yorkers struggle with rising living costs. With food insecurity on the rise, City Harvest aims to deliver over 80 million pounds of food this year. Gere’s appearance alongside Homer was a reminder that family moments and community support can coexist beautifully.
