Last year, Little House on the Prairie was in the headlines, but not for the reasons fans hoped. The highly anticipated 50th-anniversary celebration went sour, leaving many supporters and even actors feeling disappointed and misled. While the show has long been celebrated as one of the best TV dramas in American history, the poorly organized reunion was bad news for them. Fans expressed frustration online, and several cast members pulled out, citing major concerns about the event’s handling.
Thankfully, there’s good news now. A fresh, well-organized reunion is happening soon, and it is bringing some much-needed excitement back to the Little House community. Alison Arngrim, who played Nellie Oleson, recently announced that a group of cast members will reunite at the Marshfield, Missouri Cherry Blossom Festival. It’s the kind of update fans were hoping for.
