At 80 years old, the singer was moved as he walked onto the stage at the Fontainebleau, only to find five of his eight children waiting to celebrate him. Kimberly, 45; Sean, 44; Ruby, 37; Renee, 32; and Liam, 30, stood together to celebrate their father’s legacy. Each of them spoke briefly, with pride and affection for the man they call “Papa Stew.”

He shares Ruby with his former partner, Kelly Emberg, and Renee and Liam with his ex-wife, Rachel Hunter. His three other children include Sarah, 61, whom he shares with Susannah Boffey, and his two youngest sons, Alastair, 19, and Aiden, 14, from his current marriage to Penny Lancaster.
The appearance of his children touched Stewart, who admitted he was stunned and thought the tribute had been pre-recorded. Despite the emotional moment, the singer still managed to make some humorous remarks before expressing his deep gratitude for the award and those who had helped him along the way.

As the ceremony neared its end, Stewart acknowledged his humble beginning, musical roots, and those who inspired him, naming artists like Sam Cooke and Muddy Waters as influences in his life. Then he performed one of his songs, “Forever Young.”
The same evening, Stewart’s daughter, Kimberly, showcased her baby bump during the family’s time on stage. She is expecting her second child and has shared the news publicly, but kept the name of the baby’s father private. Her first child, Delilah, 13, is from her previous relationship with actor Benicio Del Toro.
