Candace Cameron Bure never thought she would step onto The Masked Singer stage, let alone sing in front of a live audience; the idea terrified her. After turning down the opportunity four times, she couldn’t imagine herself performing in front of an audience in an extravagant costume.
However, everything changed when she realized it could be a way to honor her late Full House co-star and dear friend, Bob Saget, who passed away in 2022 at the age of 65. For someone who had always been terrified of singing in public, The Masked Singer was a bold and unexpected challenge. Yet, knowing she was doing it in memory of Saget made the experience even more meaningful.

Bure joined The Masked Singer in 2025, stepping into the spotlight as Cherry Blossom. The elaborate costume featured a pink frilly dress, intricate floral details, and a large mask that made the experience both exciting and challenging for her.
She shared that while she adored her costume, performing in it was no easy task. Walking in high-heeled platform shoes and navigating with limited vision made every performance nerve-wracking. However, despite the difficulties, she pushed through, embracing the thrill of the competition.
Bure’s connection to The Masked Singer began long before she ever set foot on the stage. In 2020, she was watching an episode when she had a shocking realization — one of the disguised performers sounded very familiar. It was Saget, hidden behind the Squiggly Monster costume.
The moment she recognized his voice, she couldn’t contain her excitement. She jumped up, exclaiming that it had to be him. Later, she even sent him a video, screaming that she knew exactly who he was just from the way he sang. Saget, who had to keep his identity a secret at the time, found it hilarious and admitted that he had tried his best to stay quiet about it.
