A highly anticipated Beatles biopic is on the way, set to hit theaters in April 2028. In early 2024, Sony Pictures and Neal Street Productions announced that award-winning director Sam Mendes would take on this project and make not just one but four interconnected films. Each movie will focus on a different member of the band, and will also offer a fresh perspective on their journey from Liverpool to the rest of the world.
Mendes described the project as The Beatles – A Four-Film Cinematic Event; he called it the first bingable theatrical experience. His vision is to make something different from traditional filmmaking by bringing together four separate stories into a single, larger-than-life movie. Fans are excited for what promises to be an unforgettable tribute to the greatest rock band in history.
