
NBC’s Opry 100: A Live Celebration brought some of country music’s hottest stars together for a night of unforgettable performances. The star-studded concert happened at the historic Nashville concert hall and lasted for three wholesome hours. It commemorated a century of country music heritage and the visionaries who made it happen.
Blake Shelton hosted the event, which featured performances by Carrie Underwood, Post Malone, Garth Brooks, Alan Jackson, Kelsea Ballerini, and more. Every artist appeared to pay tribute to the Grand Ole Opry’s remarkable legacy, performing a mix of classic favorites and contemporary favorites. Reba McEntire kicked off the evening with a powerful tribute to her musical heroes, Patsy Cline and Loretta Lynn. Stepping onto the stage, she silenced the crowd with an acappella rendition of “Cline’s Sweet Dreams (Of You)”.
Taking a moment to savor the moment, McEntire talked about how much she appreciated being included in the milestone event. She gave credit to Cline and Lynn for opening the door for her own career. Following her first performance, McEntire transitioned smoothly into another performance of “You Ain’t Woman Enough”, one of Lynn’s biggest hits.
