Reba McEntire got people talking after her recent appearance on the red carpet for The Voice. The singer wore a shiny diamond piece on her ring finger as she posed and gave press interviews ahead of the new season’s first live taping.
The 68-year-old later confirmed to ET that she wore the ring because she just found it. “I told Leslie [her brand manager], ‘Imma put something over here, just let everybody talk about it,'” she said. The interviewer then subtly chipped in her wedding plans while asking the singer if she would join the league soon. “You know I’m planning a wedding, am I still the only one planning a wedding?” She said, prompting a response from Reba. “Yes, you are,” Reba clarified.
Reba dropped the ring after the red carpet
Reba was seen sitting on the red chair on The Voice stage without the ring as the top twelve performances commenced. While appearing on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, she told the host that a third wedding depends on her current boyfriend, Rex Linn, whom she started dating in 2020. “If he wants to, that’s totally up to him,” she said.

Reba and Rex started as friends in 1991 while working together on The Gambler Returns: The Luck of the Draw. Reba was married to Narvel Blackstock at the time, but her relationship with Rex turned more than just platonic five years after her divorce. They went out to dinner while filming Young Sheldon and have been inseparable ever since. “You gotta find somebody that makes you laugh… Most important thing, and I found that. It’s priceless,” she gushed.
Reba’s first time as a coach
Reba’s fellow coaches on the reality competition show have been impressed by her delivery so far, and the “Fancy” singer is learning to take it one minute at a time. “It is a lot to take in for the first time being a coach,” she told ET. Niall Horan praised her on the red carpet, calling her a “great addition” to the show. “She’s taken to that chair very well. Reba is everything you want Reba to be,” he said.
Her character also stands out to her colleagues, who say she is a “nice woman and clearly very knowledgeable about music.” Gwen Stefani agreed with Niall, who added that Reba was “affectionate and caring about her team, and funny and pretty much everything you need in a coach.”
“Honestly, she is so kind and so humble. I almost want to be like, ‘You’re Reba, like, stop!’ I think she’s just having such a blast and she’s gotten so good at the show really quick,” the “Rich Girl” singer said.
