
Zachery Ty Bryan, best known for his role as the eldest son of Brad Taylor on the hit ABC comedy Home Improvement, has faced several legal problems over the past year, severely tarnishing his once-promising career. He was previously arrested in October 2024 for driving under the influence (DUI) and driving without a valid license. He also faced a felony DUI charge and a misdemeanor contempt of court charge eight months prior.
Just before his last arrest, Bryan was embroiled in another legal battle, which has led to major financial difficulties, which now seems to be putting a hole in his already dwindling resources.
Cameron Moore sues Zachery Ty Bryan for breach of contract
Bryan was sued for breach of contract in 2021 by Cameron Moore, who claimed that he had funded the production of the 2021 movie, Warning, with the promise that he would get $60,000 return on investment as well as a $12,000 in interest. Moore noted that despite the 43-year-old’s commitment to the agreement, he never got any payment even though he fulfilled his own side of the deal, thus prompting him to seek legal redress.
In April 2023, a , a Los Angeles Superior Court delivered judgment on the case, awarding Moore a $108,940.67, including damages and interest.

Since the court’s verdict, Bryan has repeatedly failed to comply with the court order, claiming financial difficulties as the primary reason for his inability to settle the debt. He has revealed in a number of interviews that a significant portion of his income is tied up in some debts owed to him by several business associates, leaving him without the necessary funds to fulfill his legal obligations.
Bryan’s failure to address the court-mandated payment has escalated the legal consequences, thus leading to the court ordering the seizure of all the royalties due to him until his debt is fully settled.
