As he comments on the passage of time, he humorously says he needs to update his “happy place” to something a little more suitable for his age. His love interest, Virginia Venit, challenges him to allow the world to know the Happy she once loved. Fans will enjoy seeing Happy rediscover himself as he reclaims his rightful place on the golf course.
Who are the cast and crew of ‘Happy Gilmore 2’?
The sequel has some familiar faces, with Julie Bowen still acting in her role as Virginia Venit and Christopher McDonald as Happy’s arch-rival, Shooter McGavin. Ben Stiller returns as the sadistic nursing home orderly. Professional golfers like John Daly, Scottie Scheffler, Rory McIlroy, and Bryson DeChambeau make cameo appearances in the trailer.
Sandler’s longtime writing partner, Tim Herlihy, is back, and the original film’s director, Dennis Dugan, is executive producer. Kyle Newacheck, who directed Murder Mystery in 2019 and had worked with Sandler, is new to the team.
