
As one of the original members of the all-female R&B band En Vogue, which dominated the ’90s music landscape, Dawn Robinson alongside her Bandmates became famous for their hit songs like “Hold On,” “My Lovin’ (You’re Never Gonna Get It),” and “Don’t Let Go (Love),” all of which topped charts at the time earning the band a sale of millions of records and many accolades including MTV Video Music Awards and Soul Train Awards and several Grammy nominations along with her bandmates.
However, despite the outstanding career enjoyed by the band, Dawn seems to have embraced a new sense of adventure. The musician, who was once a symbol of success, recently admitted to taking her life with a different approach than she used to.

Speaking in a new YouTube video which she shared on Tuesday, March 11, Dawn disclosed that she has been homeless for a while now and has been making do with living in her car over the past three years.
The singer, who was living with her parents in Las Vegas, moved out and relocated to Los Angeles in 2010 on the advice of her former manager, who initially offered her residence in his own apartment. However, their arrangement did not work; thus she decided to leave, finding abode in a hotel for a while. Dawn explained that she experienced difficulties trying to find a suitable apartment, and she decided to start living in her car.

She shared that her video was not made to solicit sympathy or pity from others. She emphasized that she has been content with her decision and has found a sense of freedom and fulfillment in it.
She also explained that even though it’s been quite hard, missing her family and everyone she loves, she feels her decision was the right one for her.
