Duane ‘Dog’ Chapman first came into the limelight in 2003 as a successful bounty hunter. His arrest of sex offender Andrew Stuart Luster led to the creation of his own reality TV show, Dog the Bounty Hunter, which aired for eight seasons until it was canceled in 2012. Despite gaining significant success, the 72-year-old’s life has been filled with challenges, including drug abuse and, most significantly, a charge of rape by his own daughter, Lyssa Chapman.
In a recent interview, Lyssa Chapman recently made a shocking revelation about the rape allegations she made against her father. She also revealed how they have been able to navigate the troubles and backlash that came with it.
The allegations against Dog the Bounty Hunter by his daughter, Lyssa Chapman

During a discussion with Fox News, Lyssa stated that she was actually molested by her father’s friend, not her father himself. However, she chose to direct the accusation at her father as a way to distance herself from his tumultuous life with his fifth wife, Alice Elizabeth “Beth” Barmore.
The 37-year-old, who has also taken after the Dog the Bounty Hunter star, described his life at the time as being filled with constant fighting and drug abuse, thus creating an environment that she found deeply distressing and unstable.

Dog the Bounty Hunter’s daughter claims she and her dad are back on good terms
Lyssa disclosed that her accusations against her dad created a rift between them, as he considered her as someone who might harm his Dog the Bounty Hunter legacy. This perception led to a period of estrangement, which made her understand that she had committed a seemingly unforgivable offense in the family.
Lyssa claimed that she and her father eventually reconciled and reestablished their connection, which she defined as robust and healthy. Lyssa acknowledged the efforts that were put in place to ensure the mending of their relationship and also expressed her love for her father despite the difficulties they had previously experienced.
