Chuck Norris recently celebrated his 26th year married to Gena O’Kelley, with whom he shares twin children, Danilee Kelly Norris and Dakota Alan Norris. Chuck also has two kids, Mike and Eric, from his previous marriage to Dianne Holechek and one from an extramarital affair in the ‘60s.
Chuck and Gena have weathered challenges together, including her illness from years ago, which escalated to lawsuits against many healthcare companies; however, they have their fingers crossed for the coming year. After suffering brain damage due to a poisonous chemical used for her MRI scan, Gena has now recovered, to Chuck’s relief.
Chuck Norris’ wife is his beacon of light
According to an insider, Chuck considers Gena the steel in his backbone and an amazing wife. She is a devoted mother and has been supportive of his nonprofit work so far. The source noted that the couple does everything together and Chuck dotes on her, especially since fearing he would lose her in 2017.
Gena suffered from the effects of gadolinium-based contrast agents (GBCAs) used for magnetic resonance imaging scans and went through months of burning pain, lack of coordination, and kidney issues. At the time, Chuck took a break from his Hollywood career to take care of Gena and still considers her his top priority.
Did Chuck Norris retire for Gena O’Kelly?
Chuck is still very much in business, having appeared in the sci-fi movie Agent Recon after a decade away from the big screen. Although Gena influenced his hiatus, Chuck seems to be easing back into Hollywood now that she has recovered.
At 84, Chuck is still as agile as ever, often showing off his martial arts skills and workouts on social media. The father of five, who is a black belt in Tang Soo Do, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, and judo, currently promotes health and fitness products like Total Gym and is dedicated to veteran and children-focused charities.
