Heather Locklear Hopes For Career Resurgence As She Navigates Sobriety Journey

Heather Locklear, who played the role of Amanda Woodward in the TV series Melrose, has lived a quite challenging life ever since she got her Hollywood breakthrough. Despite achieving success very early in her career, the actress has spent decades battling majorly with substance, a situation that has cast a shadow over all aspects of her life, most especially her one-time bustling career.

However, sources have revealed that the actress, who has been treated multiple times at different rehabilitation facilities, is now on the pathway to sobriety and is, in turn, looking forward to making a career comeback.

Heather Locklear has ‘beaten her demons’ as she continues sobriety

In an interview with In Touch, an insider disclosed that the 63-year-old, whose news made rounds on social media early last year for her shabby and disoriented appearance, is now sober and committed to getting fully rehabilitated. The close source shared that as part of her recovery, Heather Locklear is currently trying to secure an acting gig to get her life back on track.

The insider further explained that due to her long absence in Hollywood, Heather Locklear foresees some troubles as she has to start afresh and show that she still has what it takes to succeed as an actress. However, she is determined to “prove her viability to the industry, and she’s starting that process basically from zero.”

Heather Locklear might get a second shot at fame if she remains sober

In another interview with In Touch, a second source noted that the actress is highly committed to maintaining her health and ensuring that she remains sober despite refusing help from friends and family in the past. However, she has started to reconnect with her friends and even co-stars as she attended a ’90s Con reunion and was spotted with her Melrose Place co-stars.

Given her charm and wit based on her previous theatrical ventures, an insider believes that if Locklear keeps up with her sobriety, she might have the opportunity to land roles and become a notable part of any project she works on.
