Katie Holmes recently defended her daughter Suri Cruise from false claims by taking to Instagram to call out The Daily Mail. She posted a screenshot of their December 5 article about her 18-year-old, which declared her a millionaire. The headline stated that she now has access to Tom Cruise’s trust fund and Katie’s.
Katie wrote the words, “completely false. ‘Daily Mail’ you can stop making stuff up” over the article snippet, which was accompanied by the one-word caption, “Enough.” The 45-year-old has been intentional about keeping Suri away from media attention since the divorce from her father, Tom.

There has been no confirmation from Katie or Tom about their daughter’s trust fund; however, their joint net worth of about $615 million indicates Suri’s financial future is quite secure. Katie won full custody of Suri twelve years ago, and Tom has reportedly contributed to her expenses ever since.
Sources say Tom has been largely out of Suri’s life and missed key moments in her growth despite paying for her tuition at Carnegie Mellon University in Pennsylvania, among other bills. Rumor has it that Tom avoids Suri because she is the only one among his three children who has refused to join the Church of Scientology.
