Riley Keough’s mother, Lisa Marie Presley, married Michael Jackson in 1994— the same year as her divorce from Riley’s dad, Danny Keough. For a while, Riley found a father figure in Jackson and once recalled spending much time with him at Neverland.
Although she never met her famous granddad, Elvis Presley, Riley thought he and Jackson were similar in that they loved making people happy. She also saw Jackson’s controversial Neverland ranch as home, whereas Graceland, which she now owns, was more of a museum to her growing up.

While promoting her mother’s posthumous memoir, From Here To The Great Unknown, on a recent episode of The View, Riley hilariously recounted how she grew up with different stepdads and joked about how they would come and go. She was only 6 when her mother married Jackson, and she had to witness another divorce before turning 9.
When host Sunny Hostin asked Riley what her childhood was like going through different father figures, the 35-year-old said it felt normal. She was aware that her realities were different from most people, but to her, she had no other experience to compare.
Lisa Marie Presley’s love life
Lisa Marie was married four times in her life, with the King of Pop as her second husband. She divorced Jackson in 1996, claiming irreconcilable differences. However, they reportedly disagreed over having children, Jackson’s image in the media due to sexual abuse allegations, and his addiction to drugs.
Following her two-year union to Jackson was a brief marriage to actor Nicolas Cage in 2002, who was said to have married her due to his obsession with Elvis Presley. They lasted only three months, after which Lisa Marie met and married Michael Lockwood, the father of her twin girls, Harper and Finley.
