Lisa Marie Presley’s memoir, From Here to the Great Unknown has finally been completed and published two years after her death. The memoir has proved to not just be a book on grief, and loss, but also one with interesting details about Lisa’s life.
In the recent release, Lisa opened up about her intimate relationship with the late Pop icon Michael Jackson, whom she was married to for two years. The duo tied the knot in 1994 when Lisa was 25 and Jackson was 35, and they had no child from the marriage.

In the book, Lisa revealed that Jackson claimed that he was a virgin when they started dating. To buttress his point, Jackson also highlighted his romance fling which included kissing Tatum O’Neal and having a thing with Brooke Shields. He also shared that Madonna tried to hook up with him, but it didn’t work out.
Lisa mentioned that she was still married to her ex-husband, musician Danny Keough when Jackson confessed his love for her during a trip to Las Vegas. “Michael said, ‘I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but I’m completely in love with you,” she recalls. “I want us to get married and for you to have my children.’”
A short while after, Keough and Lisa had an amicable divorce and then moved on with Jackson. However, despite their whirlwind romance, Jackson and Lisa’s marriage didn’t last long, as they parted ways two years later.

Lisa died in 2023 at 54 from complications related to bariatric surgery. Despite their short time together, relatives of Jackson sent their tributes and expressed sadness over Lisa’s death. Her unfinished memoir was completed by her daughter Riley Keough using Presley’s recorded voice tapes.
Riley discussed completing her mother’s memoir with PEOPLE. “As Elvis’s daughter, my mom was constantly in the spotlight,” she said. “I wanted to show who she really was beyond the headlines.” The memoir was released on October 8 and has got people talking since its release.
