Thirty years after playing Alfalfa Switzer in Little Rascals, Brandon ‘Bug’ Hall is getting slammed for making misogynistic remarks about his daughters after the birth of his first son, Mark Athanasius Chad Anthony Hall-Barnett.
The 39-year-old announced the birth of his baby on X with the caption, “I have an heir! Mama and baby are both doing great. My bride’s fifth delivery, third all natural. Athanasius Contra Mundum,” but social media users were not having it.

Bug’s post went viral, not because he was celebrating his new baby, but for his discriminatory caption, which many slammed him for. A fan asked why his fifth child is considered his successor rather than his eldest daughter, and the child star responded by saying he meant “heir, not dishwasher.”
His response was met with an angry rebuttal as X users called him out for his disgusting and toxic perception of women as domestic laborers. “What a weird thing to say,” someone exclaimed, while others asked what his heir in question would be inheriting. “This man has 4 daughters by the way. But good luck building an empire with your heir!” a second user quipped.
Life after ‘Little Rascals’
After playing Alfalfa in Little Rascals, for which he won a Young Artist Award for Best Performance by a Youth Ensemble in a Motion Picture, he went on to appear in more productions like The Stupids, soccer comedy The Big Green, Safety Patrol, and the likes of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Justice, Providence, and 90210 as a young adult.
In 2013, Bug became Catholic and left Hollywood in 2020, the same year he was arrested for sniffing from air duster cans. The following year, Bug moved to a farm in the Midwest with his wife and kids after taking a vow of poverty. From the recent social media brawl, he noted that his kids do not go to school because he loves them.
