Erin Murphy played Tabitha Stephens alongside her TV parents, Elizabeth Montgomery and Dick York, in the ‘60s series Bewitched, which ended in 1972. Interestingly, Erin is now 60 at the same time as the series’ 60th anniversary, which she acknowledged via a post on X.
She posted a throwback photo of baby Tabitha from the show with the caption, “Want to feel old? Bewitched premiered 60 years ago today, September 17, 1964. AND little Tabitha (Me!) is 60 years old!”

Erin’s followers were shocked at how much time had passed and expressed their nostalgia in her comments section. “I grew up watching this, one of my favorites, and so were you!” someone wrote, accompanied by a GIF of animated Samantha Stephens twitching her nose. “Can you still do the nose thingy?” another asked, to which Erin responded positively.

A few were surprised that she played Tabitha and commended her performance from back then. “YOU ARE TABITHA??!!!!!!!!!!! How cool is that? You were America’s Child for awhile… Brav-freaking-o!” one astonished follower said. “It’s funny, I’m two years younger than you; however, you seem younger because Tabitha was a baby when I watched,” a fourth user noted.

As a child, Erin said she hardly watched the show; hence, she did not get to see much from a viewer’s perspective. She was also aware that the magic was not real since she was right behind the scenes, seeing the set helpers holding fishing poles with wires. In addition to Bewitched, baby Erin appeared in multiple commercials, including one with ex-president Ronald Reagan.
The show’s cancellation meant back-to-normal life for Erin until 2010 when she made a comeback with a few roles, TV hosting gigs, and reality television. By then, she was a mother of six, which was why she left the spotlight for so long. She noted that offers still come to her; however, she has yet to find one worthy of her time.
